Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini is hoping his side will be in a good position to challenge for the Premier League title when the 2015/16 season begins on August 8.
City will open their campaign with an away game to West Brom on Monday August 10.
Ahead of the new season, Pellegrini has strengthened his squad with the addition of some players including forward Raheem Sterling who yhey bought fom Liverpool fo 49million pounds.
City striker Stefan Jovetic is close to a move to Inter Milan and Pellegrini attributed his inability to tie down a regular shirt at the club to injuries.
