Justine Madugu has announced a 23-player squad for Nigeria’s upcoming international friendly matches against Senegal as preparations continue for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, WAFCON.
The squad includes captain Rasheedat Ajibade, goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie and experienced striker Asisat Oshoala.
Madugu also recalled midfielder Ngozi Okobi-Okeoghene as well as forwards Francisca Ordega and Gift Monday.
The coach handed opportunities to Belarus-based forward Blessing Nkor and Turkey-based midfielder Kafayat Shittu as part of efforts to strengthen the team ahead of the continental competition.
Other players invited include Anderline Mgbechi, Rofiat Imuran, Sikiratu Isah, Oluwatosin Demehin, Halimatu Ayinde, Toni Payne, Folashade Ijamilusi and Joy Omewa.
The friendly matches against Senegal are expected to provide the coaching crew with an opportunity to assess the squad and fine-tune preparations ahead of the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.
