Sky Bet Championship side Leicester City have turned down a late bid from Spanish club Valencia for Nigerian midfielder Wilfred Ndidi, Daily Post reports.
Transfer expert Ben Jacobs revealed that Valencia made a last-minute attempt to hijack Ndidi’s proposed move to Turkish Super Lig giants Besiktas, but their offer was rejected by the Foxes.
Besiktas already have a €9.5 million agreement in place with Leicester City, with only minor details left to finalise. Ndidi is also said to have agreed personal terms with the Istanbul-based club.
The 27-year-old is expected to sign a three-year deal with an option for an additional year and will undergo medicals with Besiktas later this week.
