Lagos State police spokesperson Benjamin Hundeyin said barrel guns, pistols, cartridges and drilling machines were seized during the raid and a notorious gang leader was among more than thirty suspects arrested.
He also identified two blacksmiths whom he said were behind the production of the arms and had been under surveillance.
Recall that, last month, the army uncovered a gun-manufacturing factory in Kaduna state and seized twenty-six weapons including AK-47 rifles, a submachine gun, and revolvers.
Also, last week, police said armed groups are smuggling weapons into Anambra State from Cameroon.
