The Lagos State Government has issued a fresh warning to residents in parts of Lekki, Ikorodu, and Ajegunle to relocate from lowland areas to higher grounds in a bid to avoid the dangers of flooding.
The advisory follows recent predictions by the Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet), which indicate that Lagos will experience heavier rainfall this year compared to 2024. Authorities say the warning is part of proactive efforts to minimize the impact of expected flooding in vulnerable communities.
