The dismissal letter cited in a statement released by the Head of Public Relations of the Nigeria Prisons Service did not mention the name of the dismissed wardress.
The statement however quoted the officer in charge of discipline, AGUN OLATUNJI, who is a Deputy Comptroller of Prisons, saying that dismissed personnel was found guilty of negative activities which borders on trafficking.
The statement further noted that the arrest of the wardress was an indication of the dawn of a new era in prison management in Nigeria.
It said the move also serves as a justification for the recent mass re-deployment of officers and men nationwide in a bid to strengthen security at the prisons.
