The incident which occurred on Wednesday led to the death of forty-six persons, including a son of the Otukpo Local Government Chairman, Hon. Bako Eje.
The Special Adviser to Governor Samuel Ortom on Security,Lieutenant-Colonel Paul Hemba, retired, confirmed the development to journalists yesterday.
He said, though the forty-six corpses have been recovered, casualty figures may likely rise due to life-threatening injuries sustained by scores of residents during the attack.
The fresh attack came a day after the daredevil terrorists invaded the community and killed three persons on Tuesday.
