Kenya Presidential Political crisis may be deteriorating.

The IEBD has not explained the reason for the delay of the meeting which was called preparatory to the 17th of October rerun date it announced earlier.

Officials of the IEBC was supposed to meet with members of the governing Jubilee party and the opposition National Super Alliance to sort out issues over the makeup of the commission.

Meanwhile; a professor of law at the Rivers State University has been speaking on the merits of the judgment by Kenya’s Supreme Court, nullifying the presidential election.

Professor NLERUM OKOGBULE traced the action of the Kenyan Supreme Court to the process for the appointment of judges, which he said provides an example for other African countries to follow.

 

Professor OKOGBULE who is the Dean of Faculty of Law at the Rivers State University, said for justice to prevail in Africa and good governance to thrive, the Kenyan Constitution provides an example of the right legal framework.
