Katsina Man Arrested for Killing Woman, Baby Over Paternity Dispute

A 35-year-old man, Sahabi Rabi’u, has been arrested in Katsina State for allegedly killing a woman and her 10-month-old baby in Sheme village, Faskari Local Government Area.

The police said Rabi’u and an accomplice, who is still at large, lured the victims to the outskirts of the village, killed them, and dumped their bodies in a nearby well. The killings reportedly stemmed from a dispute over the paternity of the child.

The Katsina State Police Commissioner, Bello Shehu, condemned the act as “barbaric and inhumane” and assured the public that justice would be served.
