Kaduna State Governor, NASIR EL-RUFAI has confirmed a suicide bomb attack at the headquarters of Sabon Gari Local Government Area.

The Governor said thirty-two people who sustained injuries in the attack are on admission at the Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital in Zaria.
He said the secretariat of the council was crowded when the attack occurred, because the resumption ceremony of the newly appointed local government chairman.
The Governor said some members of local government staff from Lere and Ikara were also within the premises undergoing biometric verification.
Governor EL-RUFAI said he has visited the scenes of the explosion and the hospital, and expressed shock about the attack, while praying for eternal rest for those killed.
