Japan elects its first Female Gov – YURIKO KOIKE

Reports say KOIKE, who contested as an independent candidate, received more than two point nine million votes in Sunday’s election, beating her opponents by a wide margin.

The new Tokyo Governor is a member of Prime Minister SHINZO ABE’s Liberal Democratic Party, but she was not endorse by the party.
