Italian Serie A Nigerian player Simy supports #EndPoliceBrutality protest

Nwankwo celebrated scoring against the Serie A champions on Saturday by displaying a shirt with the inscription: #EndPoliceBrutalityInNigeria.

Simy is the second Nigerian footballer in Italy to back the nationwide protests against police brutality, extortion, and extrajudicial killings back home, after compatriot Victor Osimhen also held up a shirt that had ‘End Police Brutality in Nigeria’ written on it after scoring in Napoli’s 4-1 rout of Atalanta earlier on Saturday.

Crotone took the lead with a Simy penalty in the 12th minute, before Alvaro Morata levelled from Chiesa’s assist nine minutes later.
