Following the recent ruling by a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja, asking INEC to continue with the process, the electoral commission has released a new timetable for the recall of Senator MELAYE.
According to the new timetable released by INEC Secretary, AUGUATA OGAKWE, INEC will on 3rd October issue a notice of verification of the petition signed by Kogi West constituents; eleven days to the conduct of the exercise on 14th October.
The Commission believes that the adjustment would allow Senator MELAYE enough time to study the petition and all the accompanying materials and prepare for the exercise.
