The paramount ruler of Akpor Kingdom, Eze ANELE ORLU ORIEBE gave the charge during the opening ceremony of the new yam festival of Akpor people which begins with wrestling contest.
The Nyenwe Ali Akpor stressed the need for communities in Rivers State to ensure full participation cultural activities which he said would help to promote love, peace and unity in the state.
Eze ORLU ORIEBE recounted the origin of Akpor Kingdom which he said was built on love and unity just as he urged traditional leaders as well as young people to allow culture and traditions to die.
He however used the opportunity to advised youths to shun cultism but engage the something meaningful that will help develop the society.
