Our correspondent reports that IYC Worldwide had announced an indefinite suspension of the National President, but UDENGS ERADIRI is alleged to have ignored the announcement.
IYC National Secretary General, BRISTOL ALAGBARIYA told newsmen in Port Harcourt that ERADIRI was suspended due to allegations of indiscipline and undermining the objectives of the Ijaw youth body.
ALAGBARIYA also cautioned individuals and corporate organizations that are doing business within the catchment area of the IYC to avoid getting involved with the suspended IYC President.
He equally urged Ijaw elders to intervene and help to resolve the internal dispute within the IYC.
The IYC scribe also appealed to the Federal Government to seek more amicable means of resolving the resurgence of militancy in the Niger Delta region.
However; UDENGS ERADIRI is insisting that he remains in charge as President of the Ijaw Youth Congress, stressing that no executive member of IYC can be removed by any member of the organization.
ERADIRI also expressed concern about the activities of militants in the Niger Delta, and urged all youth within the region to show concern.
