The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) says it recovered ₦5.79 billion in proceeds of crime between January and June 2026 as part of its ongoing anti-corruption efforts.
The commission said the recoveries reflect its commitment to promoting accountability, transparency and good governance across the country.
ICPC also warned that corruption continues to weaken Nigeria’s security architecture by diverting resources meant for critical public services, stressing the need for sustained efforts to combat the menace.
