President Buhari gave the charge during the investiture, which took place at the State House Conference Center in Abuja, as part of a series of events lined up for the May 29 inauguration ceremony.
The president, who said this after conferring National Honours on president-elect Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his Vice President-elect, Kashim Shettima, urged the president elect to work for the interest of citizens, just as he did while in office as governor of Lagos State.
The president who also acknowledge the challenges faced by his administration, commended Nigerians and the armed forces for their support in the fight against crime and criminality.
