The President of the National Association Nurses and Midwives, ALANI ADENIJI made the call in an address to the conference of Principals and Heads of Nursing Institution held in Port-Harcourt.
ADENIJI, who was represented by the Vice President, MUSA ABUBARKA said caring for patients should be the priority of nurses, especially as Nigeria tackles health deficiencies.

Meanwhile, the Permanent Secretary in the Rivers State Ministry of Health CAROLINE WALI stressed the need for excellence in the nursing profession.
The representative of the Health Commissioner, THEOPHILUS ODAGME, said that was the requirement for nurses that can stand the test of time.
