Governor NYESOM WIKE has suspended the Caretaker Chairmen of Abua-Odual, Ahoada-East and Ahoada-West local government councils.
The offence of the suspended CTC chairmen is because they failed to mobilize stakeholders from their various Local government areas to a security meeting at Omoku – the headquarter town of Ogba-Egbema-Ndoni Local Government Area, which was called by the Governor.Governor WIKE paid a visit to ONELGA yesterday in a bid to give assurance to the besieged people of the area who have been traumatized by recurring violent attacks and killings.Much of the killings have been blamed on rivalry by cult groups, which has forced many inhabitants to flee the various communities in ONELGA.Addressing the stakeholders gathering in Omoku; Governor WIKE directed security operatives in ONELGA to shoot at sight any suspected criminal from now onwards.Our correspondent also gathered that soon after Governor WIKE had finished giving his instruction, two men were gunned down close to the venue of the rally, while three others were arrested by security operatives.
