Gov Wike slam INEC over continued delay in concluding rerun legislative elections.

Governor WIKE suggested that INEC could conduct elections in Sambisa Forest but not in Rivers State, which he described as an indication of a negative plot against the state.

The State Governor was speaking during a dinner over the weekend for delegates from thirteen countries during the West African Architect Fair in Port Harcourt.

According to a statement released by his media assistant, Governor WIKE also faulted criticism by his predecessor and Minister of Transport that there was no accessible road to Erema, in Ogba-Egbema-Ndoni Local Government Area.

At a separate forum on Sunday; Governor WIKE said it was the past administration that failed to construct a road to Erema, which is the hometown of former PDP Chairman, late Chief GODWPOWER AKE.

Governor WIKE also claimed that he had to start infrastructure development afresh because the past government had nothing to show after eight years in office.

He said the delayed rerun election is part of plot to ensure that the APC secured enough number of seats in the House of Assembly in order to have him impeached.

Meanwhile; the former governor and Minister of Transport, ROTIMI AMAECHI had in his remarks during the funeral ceremony of late Chief GODSPOWER AKE, underscored the deplorable condition of ONELGA.

According to AMAECHI, ONELGA has lost its glory as the beauty of the country, with roads in bad shape and the inhabitants constantly being slaughtered by rampaging hoodlums.

AMAECHI also lamented that those some of those who were assisted by late Chief AKE betrayed him, while others who stayed loyal are being killed regularly.
