Fubara Commends Ogbakiri Community for Supporting Ongoing Road Project

Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has expressed satisfaction with the level of support shown by the Ogbakiri community to the construction firm handling a major road project in the area.

The Governor, who was on an inspection tour of two major road projects on Tuesday, announced that the 9.7-kilometre Emohua–Ogbakiri–Egbelu Road is expected to be completed by December.

Also inspected was the 19.7-kilometre Buguma–Abalama–Tema–Degema–Abonnema Road, which includes seven bridges and links several communities across the Kalabari Kingdom and Emohua Local Government Area.

Governor Fubara described the Emohua–Ogbakiri–Egbelu route as a critical access road for the region and commended the Ogbakiri people for their cooperation and peaceful disposition, which he said has enabled steady progress on the project.

He reiterated his administration’s commitment to delivering quality infrastructure that will enhance connectivity, boost economic activities, and improve the living conditions of Rivers people.
