French Special Forces have killed a militant Islamist in Mali who was freed in prisoner exchange deal over the abduction of Frenchman SERGE LAZAREVIC.

 

A report quoting a French army statement said the senior member of al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb, ALI AG WADOSSENE, was killed in northern Kidal city. The statement revealed that two other militants were captured in the operation. You will recall that French troops intervened in an Islamist militants uprising in Mali in January 2013, following a daring move intended to over-run the capital, Bamako.
