Former governor of Abia State, ORJI UZOR KALU is set to begin his legal battle once again over alleged corrupt enrichment while in office.

ORJI UZOR KALU is accused of diversion of five point six billion naira belonging to the Abia State Government.A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has ordered for the former governor to be re-arraigned over the allegation on 16th of May this year.The Supreme Court had on 18th of March dealt a severe blow to attempts by KALU to stop his trial, when the Justices ordered that case against him and his co-accused persons should go for trial.It may interest you to not that the case against the former governor of Abia State dates back to 2007, when the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission initially slammed a ninety-six count charge of money laundering against him.ORJI KALU was accused alongside JONES UDEOGO and Slok Nigeria Limited, but their objections have been dismissed up to the Supreme Court.
