The Head of Administration of the Bayelsa State Emergency Management Agency TORUKURU ADAKIEN confirmed the incident to newsmen in Yenagoa.
The worst hit areas are Agbura and Amarata communities in Yenagoa Local Government Area.
ADAKIEN said the agency was preparing to visit the affected communities to ascertain the extent of the damage.
The emergency management officials said the extent of the damage was yet to be determined.
