The Federal universities are those located in Lokoja, Lafia, Kashere, Wukari, Dutsin-Ma, Dutse, Ndufu-Alike, Oye-Ekiti, Otuoke, Birnin Kebbi, Gusau and Gashu.
The Minister of Education, ADAMU ADAMU, who performed the inauguration ceremony in Abuja, said the audit is to enable the universities effectively meet their operational and capital expenditure on the execution of various take-off projects.
ADAMU said the terms-of-reference of the panel include to determine the actual amount released to the National Universities Commission by the Tertiary Education Trust Fund as take-off grants and identify the number of contracts awarded, including contract sums.
In his response’ the Chairman of the Panel, Professor OLUFEMI BAMIRO, pledge their commitment to apply all means necessary so as to move the institutions to greater heights.
