The Federal Government has dismissed claims of regional bias in the distribution of projects and appointments under the administration of President Bola Tinubu.
In a statement signed by the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, the government said available data shows equitable allocation of resources across the six geopolitical zones.
The statement revealed that the North West has so far received the largest share of project approvals, valued at ₦5.97 trillion, representing over 40% of the total.
Other regions’ allocations include the South-South with ₦2.41 trillion, the North Central with ₦1.13 trillion, the South West (excluding Lagos) with ₦604 billion, the South East with ₦407 billion, and the North East with ₦400 billion.
The minister said the figures clearly show that the administration is committed to fairness and balanced development across the country.
