FG cut admission quotas in unity schools by forty percent in a bid to reduce pressure on facilities.

From six hundred and seven hundred new intakes last year, some unity schools can only admit about four hundred new students this year.

Some of the affected schools are King’s College, Queen’s College and the Federal Science Technical College, all in Lagos.

This was reportedly confirmed by the Deputy Director in charge of Press and Public Relations in the Federal Ministry of Education, BEN BEM-GOONG.

Following the development; the government spokesman said it was expected that private school owners would reduce their tuition in order to accommodate the huge number of students seeking admission into secondary school.
