Nigeria international Femi Azeez has been named in the Professional Footballers’ Association, PFA, Championship Team of the Year following an impressive 2025/26 campaign with Millwall.
The 24-year-old was recognised for his outstanding performances after registering 11 goals and eight assists in 37 league appearances for the Lions.
Azeez played a key role in Millwall’s promotion push, although the club’s hopes of reaching the Premier League were ended by Hull City in the Championship play-off semi-finals. His Millwall teammate, Tristan Crama, was also named in the PFA Team of the Year.
The former Reading forward’s impressive club form also earned him international recognition. Azeez made his Nigeria debut in memorable fashion in May, scoring twice against Jamaica.
The recognition further highlights Azeez’s growing profile as he continues to establish himself at both club and international level.
