Eze Ekpeye Logbo promise to address marginalization issues against NDPR

Today FM’s Olawale Sanusi reports that the monarch made the promise while receiving a crowd of protesters from Ogbele community in Ahoada East local government area of Rivers State, who came to show their disapproval with what they described as divide and rule tactics used by the indigenous oil company in their operational activities.

The protesters alleged threat to life of one of their sons, Salvation Ezegwogwo by the same NDPR it hosts as a community.

Eze Ekpeye Logbo pleaded with the protesters who had initially planned to carry out the protest at the site of the NDPR, to exercise patience and give him time to meet with the company’s authority so as to find solution to the matter.

Speaking on behalf of the Ogbelle youths, Oyagiri Emelei, said if the anticipated meeting between the Eze Ekpeye Logbo and the board of NDPR does not bear good fruit, they would be forced to take matters into their hands.

On their parts, High Chief Chiwhetu Ezegwogwo the Nye Uwhe Ele Ogbele and the Public Relation Officer of Ogbele Council of Chiefs, Nathan Amuso in one voice said the people of Ogbelle would not take it kindly if anything should happen to their son, Ezegwogwo.
