A survey conducted by correspondent Elfredah Alerechi shows that Nigerians have purchased and consumed expired and fake products ignorantly amidst the pandemic.
Some of the respondents from Abuja, Kano, Delta, and Rivers State said some of the products were purchased from nearby shops, superstores as well as online shops, adding that they only got know the product has expired after use.
Speaking on the development, the acting South-South Zonal coordinator of the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission, Johnson Osi advised consumers to at all times check products properly before purchase and demand a refund if the product is expired.
