Nigeria’s Chukwuebuka Enekwechi continued his fine form ahead of next month’s World Championships in Tokyo with a strong performance at the Gyulai Istvan Memorial in Hungary, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
Competing in the men’s shot put, Enekwechi clinched third place with a best throw of 21.15m on his second attempt, finishing behind American Joe Kovacs and New Zealand’s Tom Walsh.
Kovacs dominated the event as the only athlete to surpass the 22m mark, winning gold with a 22.33m effort on his third attempt. Walsh secured silver with 21.52m, while Enekwechi settled for bronze.
