This follows the ongoing installation of poles and wiring along the East-West Road, from Elele-Alimini to Ogbakiri Junction, under the directives of the Emohua Caretaker Committee Chairman, David Omereji.
Omereji, who confirmed the development, commended the people of Emohua LGA for their patience during his short time in office, following his promise to fully restore electricity in the area.
According to a statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the CTC Chairman, Chizy Enyi, Omereji had, shortly after making the promise, restored electricity to Elele-Alimini, Egbeda, Akpabu, and Itu, with the addition of five new transformers within the first two months of his administration.
The Chairman further assured that the ongoing work, which will continue uninterrupted, will result in the full restoration of electricity to Emohua LGA in the shortest time possible.
The statement also directed security agencies to monitor the areas where the work is in progress, pending the full implementation of a local security service tasked with protecting electrical equipment in Emohua.
Omereji warned vandals against sabotaging government efforts, stressing that anyone caught would face the full weight of the law.
