The former government Chairman of Slok was docked before a Federal High Court sitting in Lagos over allegations of corruption.
The move by EFCC comes after the Supreme Court in March ruled that ORJI UZOR KALU had a case to answer over alleged diversion of funds meant for the Abia State government while he was in office from 1999 to 2007.
It is exactly not clear what specific charges the EFCC is bringing against KALU at this time, but he had previous been slammed with alleged diversion of five point six billion naira from the state treasury and another diversion of three point two billion naira also from the state treasure.
Reports indicate that the case has been adjourned till 6th of December for commencement of trial.
