The DSS said IFEANYI MICHAEL ONYIKE was arrested around D-Line area of the Rivers State capital, Port Harcourt on the 12th of June.
The confirmation was made in a statement released from the DSS Headquarters in Abuja and signed by TONY OPUIYO.
The statement also provides a summary of the arrests that were made by DSS operatives at various locations across the federation in the month of June.
It also confirmed the arrest of one SELKY KILE TORUGHEDI in Calabar, Cross River State, on 17th June, on suspicion of vandalism and plotting to assassinate a serving military officer.
The DSS said its investigation revealed that TORUGHEDI was linked to the Niger Delta Avengers, and a close associate of Government EKPEMUPOLO, who is also known as TOMPOLO.
Furthermore; the DSS revealed that one CHRISTIAN OLUBA, who also goes by the alias SENSOR, was arrested while perfecting plans to carry out explosive attacks on critical oil and gas pipelines somewhere within the Niger Delta.
The DSS alleged that CHRISTIAN OLUBA is a militant with the Niger Delta Avengers.
