The Chairman of the Community Council, Ike Wigodo, in a statement, also called for the demolition of waterfronts in the area as they have become hideouts for criminal activities.
The statement recounted the rising incidences of invasions and armed robbery going on in the area, as well as the growing number of road blocks set up by hoodlums around Uruala/Abakiliki junction to stop, search, search, and rob residents.
Wigodo also pleaded with the police to intensify their efforts in ensuring that peace is restored to the community.
