DILMA ROUSSEFF was impeached through a majority vote in a Senate trial on grounds of illegal manipulation the budget.
The 75-year-old TEMER denied allegations by ROUSSEFF that he had led a coup to seize power from her Workers’ Party government, which has ruled the country for thirteen years.
Meanwhile, a separate vote proposed to bar ROUSSEFF from holding any public office for eight years failed to pass in the Senate.
