Defectors Returning to PDP, Says Acting National Chairman Umar Damagum

The Acting National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Umar Damagum, has revealed that several former members who left the party to join a rival political coalition are now returning to its fold.

Damagum made this known on Thursday during the PDP’s 101st National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting held in Abuja. He described the rival coalition as a failed political experiment, asserting that the PDP remains the most viable platform capable of reclaiming power in the 2027 general elections.

He praised the resilience of the party amidst political challenges, emphasizing that the PDP is the only political organization with the structure, national presence, and legacy robust enough to lead Nigeria towards progress and stability.
