As President Bola Tinubu commemorates his second anniversary in office, Solomon Lenu, a former spokesperson for the Rivers State Civil Society Organisations, has criticized the administration, stating that there is “nothing worth celebrating” after two years.
Lenu described the period as one of “unprecedented hardship” for Nigerians, highlighting the removal of petrol subsidies as the beginning of a failed policy. He accused the government of lacking transparency regarding the use of funds saved from subsidy removal and condemned its failure to provide a clear plan to alleviate citizens’ suffering.
