The Rivers State chapter of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, has welcomed the judgment of the Federal High Court affirming former Senate President David Mark as the party’s authentic National Chairman.
Justice Musa Liman on Thursday dismissed a suit filed by House of Representatives member Leke Abejide, holding that the executive led by Mark was validly elected.
Reacting to the ruling, Rivers State ADC Chairman, Chukwudi Dimkpa, said the judgment has brought institutional stability and legal clarity to the party. He said the decision has eased concerns among members and removed the uncertainty that had slowed party activities.
Dimkpa added that with the legal dispute now resolved, the party is shifting focus to the 2027 elections, expressing confidence that the ADC is fully united and ready to offer what he described as a people-centred alternative for governance in Rivers State.
