In a suit brought against them by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC, Udo Micah, is alleged to have committed the offence on the 15th of January, 2019 around Rumuigbo in Obio-Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State.
Our correspondent Uchendu Ejiowhor reports that the second convicted suspect Uba Stephen Kelechi was alleged to have committed his own offence on the 20th January.
The defendants pleaded guilty to the charges.
Justice M Sani, after listening to the arguments convicted and sentenced Micah to one year imprisonment with an option to pay N1m; while the product in the said truck has been forfeited to the Federal Government and the truck is to be returned to the owner.
The Judge also convicted and sentenced Kelechi to one year imprisonment with the option of N300,000 fine.
