Court Hears Case Between DSS and Wanjoku

The Department of State Services arraigned WANJOKU before Justice MUHAMUD LIMAN of the Federal High Court in Port Harcourt on various charges related to electoral malpractice.
 
In his testimony; the Prosecution Witness, OSAZE OSIFOR, recalled how WANJOKU stormed the collation centre in Ikwerre Local Government Area on 19th of March to demand the whereabouts of his agent.
 
OSAZE OSIFOR testified in his capacity as the Electoral Officer for Ikwerre Local Government during the rerun legislative elections.
 
Justice MUHAMUD LIMAN has adjourned the trial to 28th of September for continuation to enable the DSS produce their next witness.

Similarly, the Federal High Court is Port Harcourt has also commenced hearing on the suit filed by the DSS against the Secretary to Rivers State Government, Chief KENETH KOBANI over alleged electoral offences.
 
The first prosecution witness, EMMANUEL ASUQUO ISOM, who served as Electoral Officer for Gokana Local Government, told the court how KENETH KOBANI and others disrupted the election process and held the election officials hostage on 19th of March.
 
Our correspondent, VICTOR EZEAMA reports that the matter involving KENNETH KOBANI was also adjourned till 28th of September for continuation of the trial. 
 
EMENIKE EBETE, who is the defense lawyer in the case involving APC’s AZUBIKE WANJOKU, spoke to newsmen about what happened inside the courtroom.
       
Similarly; KINGSLEY CHUKU who is the defense lawyer of the Secretary to the Rivers State Government, spoke with our correspondent on the merits of their argument.
