Italian Serie A club Como have reportedly reached a verbal agreement with Chelsea for the loan signing of Spanish goalkeeper Robert Sánchez.
The proposed move comes after Chelsea signed Argentine goalkeeper Emiliano Martínez from Aston Villa, leaving Sánchez facing increased competition for the number-one position at Stamford Bridge. (Complete Sports)
Sánchez, who joined Chelsea from Brighton, is now expected to move to Como as the Italian club look to strengthen their goalkeeping options.
The agreement is reportedly for a loan deal, with the final formalities expected to be completed before the transfer deadline.
The move would give Sánchez an opportunity for regular first-team football in Serie A, while Chelsea would be able to reduce their goalkeeping options following the arrival of Martínez.
