The Civil Servants who are under the platform of the Port Harcourt Pensionable Public Servants Co-operative Investment and Credit Limited, are accusing the state government of withholding over eight hundred million naira deducted from their salaries since 2015 till date.
The plaintiffs want the court to direct the state government to remit the money deducted from their salaries for the purpose of purchasing a landed property for them.
When the matter came up before Justice Margret Opara of the Rivers State High Court, the Clark of the court, adjourned the matter to the 27th of February, 2023 following the absence of the judge.
Speaking to newsmen outside the courtroom, counsel to the Civil Servants, O.C Higher-King said his clients are in court, following government’s refusal to remit funds meant for their land purchase.
