Super Eagles winger Samuel Chukwueze says he is determined to make the most of his new role at AC Milan under head coach Ruben Amorim.
Chukwueze impressed in Milan’s 4-2 pre-season victory over Manchester United in Wroclaw, scoring one goal and providing two assists.
The 27-year-old has been deployed as a wing-back by Amorim as the Portuguese coach experiments with a new tactical system at the Italian club.
Chukwueze said he appreciates the confidence shown in him by Amorim and is determined to establish himself as a regular in the Milan team.
The Nigerian admitted that playing in the new position requires adaptation, as it is a role he has never played before in his career.
He said he would continue working hard and learning from the coaching staff, adding that Amorim has been providing guidance whenever he makes mistakes during training.
Chukwueze also expressed confidence in his ability to adapt to the demands of the position and contribute to Milan’s success ahead of the new season.
