CCT clamps down public officers in Uyo.

Less than a week after the inauguration of its itinerant sitting in Uyo, the CCT has already convicted one UBONG JOSHUA ETUKUDO, who served as Supervisory Councilor in Ibesiko Local Government.

The Tribunal subsequently banned ETUKUDO from holding both elective and appointive positions for three years for failing to present his Asset Declaration Form within the time frame allowed by the Code of Conduct Act.

In his judgment, the Chairman of the Tribunal, Justice DANLADI UMAR declared that the prosecution counsel proved his case beyond reasonable doubt.

Meanwhile; the CCT Itinerant Session in Uyo has adjourned to 15th of March next year to enable other accused persons engage the services of defence lawyers.

A statement released by the Head of Press and Public Relations of the Code of Conduct Tribunal, IBRAHEEM AL-HASSAN, indicates that the next itinerant session of the Tribunal will be held in Enugu.
