If the legislation is approved; men who commit adultery in Cameroon could be sent to jail.

Reports say the bill, which has the backing of the party of President PAUL BIYA, looks likely to be approved.
Currently, women can be jailed for between two to six months for having sexual relations outside marriage.

But the head of Cameroon Bar Association, NGNIE KAMGA has kicked against the law, arguing that it would take country backwards and would send more people to prisons.
