JIBRIN, who is a lawmaker from Kano State, is seeking protection against possible expulsion from the House of Representatives.

However; when the matter was mentioned by a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja, it was immediately thrown out.

Our correspondent JAMES IGAH reports that Justice OKON ABANG, who is sitting ‎as a vacation judge, refused to hear the matter because JIBRIN failed to obtain the leave of court to have his cases heard during vacation.

Justice ABANG also declared that he does not have jurisdiction to even grant an adjournment on the suit, as he advised JIBRIN to do the needful to comply with the provisions of the rules of the Federal High Court.

Our correspondent gathered that JIBRIN filed two separate suits; one against the Speaker, YAKUBU DOGARA, his Deputy, YUSUF LASUN and other principal officers.

The second lawsuit is seeking the enforcement of his fundamental human rights, in which he joined the Inspector-General of Police and the FCT Commissioner of Police as defendants as well as the Attorney-General of the Federation.
