Nigeria’s Super Sand Eagles have been drawn against Ghana in the second round of the 2026 Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
The first leg of the qualifier is scheduled for October 9 to 11, 2026, while the second leg will take place between October 16 and 18.
The 2026 Beach Soccer AFCON will be hosted by Senegal and will also serve as the African qualifiers for the 2027 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup, with the two finalists earning qualification to the global tournament.
Nigeria are two-time champions of the Beach Soccer AFCON and among the most successful teams in the competition. However, the Super Sand Eagles have missed the last three editions of the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup.
The Nigerian side will therefore be hoping to overcome Ghana and take another step towards returning to the continental tournament and securing a place at the 2027 Beach Soccer World Cup.
