Reacting to confirmation of the release by the Presidential spokesman, GARBA SHEHU, the BBOG said it was a wonderful development.

In a statement obtained by our correspondent, the BBOG said it has always believed in the capacity of the Nigerian Government to rescue the abducted girls.

According to the statement signed by AISHA YESUFU and OBY EZEKWESILI, the BBOG said while awaiting further details, it salutes the work of security services at the front lines of the anti-insurgency operations in the North-East.

The group also praised the commitment, resilience and tireless efforts of members of the Multinational Joint Task Force and the civilian JTF.

It equally thanked the International Committee of the Red Cross, the Swiss government and other negotiators who helped to facilitate the released of the girls.

The BBOG movement expressed the hope and trust that the government would continue to work to keep the safety, security, and well-being of the other girls who are still in Boko Haram captivity.

The pressure group urged the international community to continue to support effort by the Nigerian government to rescue all the abducted Chibok girls in order to put an end to the nightmare that started over two years ago.
