The position of politicians in Bayelsa State was conveyed by Senator EMMANUEL PAULKER, in a point of order he raised at the resumption of plenary in the Nigerian Senate.
Senator PAULKER said the people of Bayelsa were disappointed in the list of ambassadorial nominees sent to the Senate last week for screening.
The Bayelsa Senator cited Order 47 of the Senate Standing Rule to buttress his point that his constituents were displeased no Bayelsa indigene was considered qualified to make President BUHARI’s ambassadorial list.
Our correspondent, JAMES IGAH reports that Senator PAULKER’s Point of Order was thereafter moved to the next legislative session for further deliberations.
Meanwhile; thirteen bills seeking to alter the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria have passed second reading in the Nigerian Senate.
